Good mouse, poor battery life! March 9, 2010 Omar Concepcion (La Vega, La Vega Dominican Republic) The mouse is very comfortable for average size hands, it's very reliable and precise on movements, but it consumes the battery life too fast. But overall is a good device.
Microsoft Optical Mouse 3000 March 8, 2010 Dee (N.E. Pa.) We had a problem controlling the new notebook we got. After a 2 weeks of frustration (touch pad is too sensitive) we bought this mouse. I would recommend it to everyone!! Easy to use and no problems what so ever. It's a few months now and I am still using the same cheap battery.
very undependable March 7, 2010 pearls (Pittsburgh, PA United States) i wanted a wireless mouse for my laptop, but this is not the mouse for me. from the beginning, it gave me trouble, and finally (after only a few days) stopped working altogether. i ended up getting a logitech mini-mouse. it's not wireless, but that hasn't been an issue at all, and it's really easy to use, dependable, and comfortable. wish i had gotten that first!
Good item March 2, 2010 A. Cooper (Sault Sainte Marie, MI United States) This was my first cordless mouse and I am very content with this product. Just put the receiver in the computer and use it. Simple as that. As far as the packaging? I bought the one with the easy packaging because the other one cost about the same with the shipping. I got free shipping on this one.
Good buy March 2, 2010 college student This week my Microsoft mouse, which served me for two years, unceremoniously stopped talking to my computer. This is my eulogy.
PROS: Responsive, works out of the box. Comfortable. Cheap--as I write just $17 at Amazon. Takes one AA battery that will last for months.
CONS: The receiver is big and sensitive to bumps. The smallest bump means you need to reset the connection by pressing a tiny button under the mouse with the corner of your fingernail. After two years, it seems my receiver has somehow died completely.
This is a good buy for the price. There are a lot of choices out there, and if you're willing to invest a bit more I would recommend a mouse like Logitech V450 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Black) which has a tiny receiver that you plug into your laptop and forget about. Sweet.
