Great guide August 29, 2010 Jeffery S Singler Jr. This is a great strategy guide, it not only listed everything you needed to know to make it through the single player missions successfully it really helped me out personally with ideas on how I should start my games when it came to multiplayer online play. This guide alone has helped me improve my skill in gameplay of Starcraft 2 for single player and even for multiplayer. The fact it helped me improve in my multiplayer play is impressive to me. Most guides don't help with that. It offered a lot of great starting ideas and tricks to key and command usage I was not aware of and it made me all that better.
In my opinion this is a great guide and I recommend it to anyone who loves this game, or is new to it and needs some pointers to give them that edge in multiplayer.
Nicely done, but I was hoping for a little bit more in terms of achievements strategy August 21, 2010 Jeremy (Frisco, Colombia) Its a good guide and much nicer than the regular version and will easily show you how to beat the game and has a lot of multi player info. I was only upset that the single player strategy did not cover how to get all three achievements for each mission. This is frustrating for the hard level achievements where some tips would be truly useful. I have no problem beating this game without the book on normal difficulty and did so, but knowing better strategies to get all the single player achievement would have been much better, I'll think twice before buying this with the next addition to the trilogy...
limited edition with missing content? August 19, 2010 Sideshow Bob (uk) 5 out of 10 found this review helpful
Guys all these 5* reviews.. maybe i have a dud copy?
As a fan i have bought this and - guess what - ITS NOT EVEN COMPLETE!!
Its beautiful, lots of tips and info - but its not finished!!
Maybe it/mine was published early or maybe they added new units but the Tech Tree chart in my edition is missing units, the unit description is missing units!! what rubbish is this? Firebats? nope. Valkyries? nope. The Tech tree is one of the most important things in the game.
An incomplete play guide is misrepresentation. Its still useful but I would buy the paperback if I had known - I would not have wasted my money on an unfinished limited edition! Does anyone else have the same issue?
:(
Great guide, in depth! August 18, 2010 greatfall Very nice guide. It really explains everything from getting started, single player campaign strategies, all the way to multiplayer strats with tips from pros like Mondragon!
Very helpfull and well orgenized August 18, 2010 Ishay 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A large book, with detailed sections for each type of play: single player campaign, challenges and finally the multiplayer on [...].
There is also a section about each unit. a dedicated page about each unit cost, weapons, upgrades and strength.
the book is impressive. hard cover, good quality colored pages. A lot of work was put into it.
I've played the original starcraft, and since hardly played RTS, so I figured I can use a book to brush off the dust.
After 10 days with the book, and almost completing the campaign I can say it was a good idea.
you can use the data as much as you want. it will not hurt the game experience if you don't want it.
If your reading this, hope it helps.
